Finance/Human Resources Assistant – Part time (opportunity for future full time hours)

Reporting to the Vice President/Director of Finance at Western Marble & Tile Ltd. the Finance/HR Assistant will assist in the areas of Finance, Accounting and Human Resources related duties including processing payroll, managing ARs and APs, collecting on ARs, monthly reconciliations, reporting and preparing taxes, data entry, filing, reconciling petty cash, bank deposits, processing staff reimbursements and/or travel claims, etc.

Human Resources Responsibilities include managing the administration of new hires including completing forms, benefits enrolments, maintaining timesheets, maintaining employee files, answering employee inquiries etc.

This position includes approximately 80% Finance/Accounting duties and approximately 20% Human Resources and assisting the President with Administrative duties.

Office hours are Monday – Friday 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

The ideal candidate has a diploma in Financial Accounting and Human Resources and/or a combination of education and experience. A minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience in Accounting, Quickbooks, Dayforce HRM. Experience with Ceridian is an asset.

Additional qualifications include proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Must be a motivated individual who has the ability to work independently, strong organizational skills and attention to detail required.
